Hong Kong boxer Rex Tso ready to fight in March despite elbow problem
Wonder Kid says he will be fine for his title bout against Filipino Michael Enriquez despite suspected calcium deposits in his joint

An elbow injury is threatening to scupper Rex Tso Sing-yu's plans for a possible world title fight this year, but the unbeaten "Wonder Kid" insisted he will be fine for his bout next month.
Tso is being bothered by suspected calcium deposits in his right elbow that is preventing him from going all-out during training.
The 27-year-old southpaw had suffered from severe bruising in his knuckles last year and broken blood vessels in his nose during his unanimous victory over Thailand's Ratchasak Kokietgym, who twice knocked down the Hong Kong star in the third round of Featherweight Fury last May.
The fight is a month away and I will be ready. I feel good. I am still sparring. Hopefully, the problem will subside
Tso said his latest injury setback won't affect his plans of winning his 16th straight professional bout when he returns to the ring on the undercard of the Showdown at Sands event on March 7 at the Venetian Macao Cotai Arena, featuring China's two-time gold medallist Zou Shiming.
The Wonder Kid will be fighting for the vacant WBA [World Boxing Association] international super flyweight title - one tier below world champion - against Filipino Michael Enriquez.
Tso currently holds the WBO Asia-Pacific junior bantamweight and WBC ABCO super flyweight titles.

"It's a minor problem and it shouldn't be a cause for real concern," said Tso. "I have been sparring at least three times a week and training six days a week. The fight is a month away and I will be ready. I feel good. I am still sparring. Hopefully, the problem will subside."
