Hong Kong’s Wei Nan failed to reach the China Masters badminton final after losing in the penultimate stage to a mainland rival in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, yesterday.
Top men’s seed Wang Zhengming, China’s No 3 behind Chen Long and Lin Dan, had two easy games 21-12, 21-12 over the third seed from Hong Kong to reach the final.
The gold medal will be contested between two mainlanders after Huang Yuxiang upset second seed Tian Houwei in the other semi-final game 21-15, 21-11.
