Tanwir Afzal in action against Namibia in the first T20

Hong Kong go down to Namibia in second T20

Late burst from Tanwir Afzal not enough to prevent defeat

A late burst from stand-in captain Tanwir Afzal, who blasted an unbeaten 55, failed to save Hong Kong from slipping to defeat in the second Twenty20 match allowing Namibia to level the two-match series 1-1 in Windhoek.

Afzal, who walked in with Hong Kong precariously placed on 63 for five in the 13th over chasing 145 for victory, blasted three sixes and five fours but his spirited batting was not enough to save his team who finished in 142 for seven.

Hong Kong needed 14 off the last over, and then five from the last ball, but Afzal could only manage two runs as Namibia held on to level the series. Earlier Haseeb Amjad took four for 15 in Namibia’s total of 144 for 5.
