Hong Kong's match against Papua New Guinea in ICC World Twenty20 qualifier abandoned
Saturated outfield after heavy rain means not a ball is bowled in fixture at Bready in Northern Ireland

Hong Kong’s bid for redemption after their disappointing loss to Jersey in their opening match of the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers did not even get off the ground on Monday.
Persistent bad weather and a wet outfield forced the abandonment of their scheduled group A match against Papua New Guinea, without a ball being bowled, in Bready, Northern Ireland.
Both teams took one point each from the game but Hong Kong will be ruing a lost opportunity to get their campaign back on track.
There was heavy rain overnight and the outfield at the Bready Cricket Club was left saturated and unfit for play.
After several inspections by the umpires, the match was abandoned at 12.45pm local time.
Hong Kong’s next match is against Nepal, to be played in Belfast on Wednesday.
