Hong Kong fans have been allocated 2,000 tickets for the World Cup soccer qualifying clash against China in Shenzhen on September 3.

Football Association chairman Brian Leung Hung-tak said on Monday that tickets will only be available online and fans must use their mainland travel permit for Hong Kong and Macau residents for the purchase. Other details will be released later.

The venue for the clash, Baoan Stadium in west Shenzhen, has a capacity of 40,000.

Hong Kong will be looking for their third straight World Cup qualifying win, after beating Bhutan and the Maldives, both games played at Mong Kok Stadium.

Some Hong Kong fans booed the national anthem before the clashes at Mong Kok Stadium.

Leung said in June he would fight for a greater-than-normal allocation of tickets for the China game, but his pleas were evidently unsuccessful.
