Hong Kong teen Anthony Jackie Tang bows out of boys’ doubles at Wimbledon

With partner Mattias Simaar of Estonia, the pair lose out to the second seeds in the second round

Hong Kong tennis teen Anthony Jackie Tang went out in the second round of the boys’ doubles at Wimbledon on Thursday.

He and partner Mattias Simaar of Estonia lost to the second seeds, Kenneth Raisma (Estonia) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece), 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Tang and Simaar, both 17, got off to an impressive start in taking the first set but the momentum changed after a loss of serve early in the second set.

Earlier in the tournament, Tang lost in the first round of the boys’ singles, going down in three sets against Blake Ellis of Australia.

Tang lost 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 after qualifying for the grand slam for the first time.
