Rio Olympics star Katinka Hosszu confirmed for Hong Kong Swimming World Cup
HK’s Olympic athletes will also be in action
Rio Olympics star Katinka Hosszu has been confirmed for the Hong Kong Swimming World Cup at the end of next month.
The Hungarian medley specialist won three golds and a silver medal in Brazil in August – more individual events than any other swimmer – breaking the world record in the 400-metre IM.
Four of Hong Kong’s Olympic team – Rosanna Sze Hang-yu, Yvette Kong Man-yi, Claudia Lau Yin-yan and Camille Cheng Lily Mei – will also be in action at the US$102,000 event at Victoria Park on October 29 and 30.
Hong Kong is the last leg of the nine-leg series, with Hosszu well in front after the opening three.
Hosszu has dominated in Hong Kong in recent years, winning eight events last year and 10 the year before.
