Hong Kong cycling mourned the sudden death of coach Pu Linjun who died suddenly during a team training camp in Guangzhou on Wednesday.

Better known as “the man behind Sarah Lee”, Pu, who came to Hong Kong in 2011 to help with the team’s preparation for the London Games the following year, was regularly seen at the standing start with Lee for sprinting events, including at the Rio Olympic Games this summer.

He was a former member of the China national team before becoming a coach of the Yunnan provincial team.
