Tiffany Chan maintains perfect cut record with second straight 68 in Michigan

Hong Kong Olympian sits tied for eighth at the Symetra Tour’s US$100,000 Tullymore Classic at Tullymore Golf Resort in Canadian Lakes

Hong Kong Olympian Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching fired a bogey-free four-under-par 68 in the second round of the Symetra Tour’s US$100,000 Tullymore Classic to maintain her perfect record of making the cut in all four of her professional events.

Chan’s second consecutive 68 at Tullymore Golf Resort in Canadian Lakes lifted the 23-year-old into a tie for eighth at eight-under-par overall ahead of the final round of the event on the second-tier circuit.

Starting on the back nine, Chan reached the turn in one-under with a solitary birdie before making the ideal start to her trip home with a second gain in 10 holes.

Chan added a key run of back-to-back birdies in the middle of her second circuit to guarantee another prize cheque as the University of Southern California graduate pursues her dream of securing a card on the top-tier LPGA Tour next season.

With a second place and tied for 13th place finish already to her name on the Symetra Tour, Chan sits 28th on the order of merit with earnings of US$14,688 from just two events, needing a top-10 finish to qualify for next year’s LPGA Tour.

China’s Yu Liu holds that final qualifying spot after earning US$27,571 from 11 events, with Chan trailing by US$12,883 with 10 events remaining this season after this week.

American Lindsey Weaver tops the second round leaderboard at 14-under-par after a second consecutive 65, with first round leader Yu two shots off the pace.
