Hong Kong equestrian team rider Clarissa Lyra claimed a bronze medal in the jumping individual competition on Thursday at the National Games in Tianjin. Riding Catokia 2, the 21-year-old Lyra won her first National Games medal and the first equestrian medal for Hong Kong at this year’s Games. Catokia 2 is a 10-year-old provided by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, especially for this competition. Lyra rode superbly and was tied with four other riders with a total of 12 faults to force a jump-off for the bronze medal in the two-round competition. Lyra, the second-youngest rider in Thursday’s competition, was competing with 20 riders at the Metropolitan Polo Club.
