The Hong Kong Lacrosse Open concludes on Monday afternoon after four days of gruelling action at Hong Kong University Stanley Ho Sports Centre in Sandy Bay. In front of Sue Redfern, the president of the Federation of International Lacrosse, the final two teams in the men’s and women’s competitions are set to duke it out for gold and glory. Hong Kong’s representative team are in the men’s final, where they take on Japanese travel team Fogo from 4.30pm in the event’s showpiece, its 60th and final game. Before that, though, is the women’s final from 3pm. Again, Hong Kong’s representative team are on show and they will play Keio 1, another Japanese side, for the title. There has been growing interest in the sport in the region as it might feature in the Olympics in the future.
