Wright Sisters 24-Hour Bike Turbo Challenge set to raise money for Covid-19 emergency response
- The three, who now live in Edinburgh, were all born in Hong Kong and compete under the flag
- Twins Tallulah and Cade, 16, and Roxy, 15, are to bike continuously for 24 hours starting on Sunday

Tallulah Wright and her two sisters have a game plan when it comes to trying to cycle continuously for a full day.
“The biggest challenge during the 24 hours will be trying to stay awake,” said Tallulah. “So we’ll be hopefully taking 90-minute power naps, but it will be quite difficult because we want to cycle at a pace that is quite hard, because we want to reach a good amount of distance.”
Tallulah, 16, along with twin sister Cade and younger sister Roxy, 15, have launched the Wright Sisters 24-Hour Bike Turbo Challenge. Through Just Giving, all proceeds will be donated to the Oxfam Coronavirus Emergency Response Appeal, which provides support and healthcare equipment for the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities.
Tallulah said they have been in lockdown for close to a month in Edinburgh, Scotland, where they live and train (they compete for Hong Kong internationally), and found themselves feeling as if they might be wasting valuable time.

“We’d not been doing much, eating and sleeping and training and on our gadgets,” she said. “And in Scotland you’re only allowed outdoors for one hour, so hence the turbos.”
Tallulah, who was the first female junior and the second woman overall at the 2019 Hong Kong Marathon 10K, said the first part of the day will be easy. But then fatigue will invariably set in.
