Hong Kong racing driver Jonathan Hui made history for the second time in two months after an impressive second-place finish at the Total 24 Hours of Spa Pro-Am on Wednesday.
The 42-year-old Hui, who drives Sky Tempesta Racing’s #93 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo alongside Chris Froggatt, Edward Cheever III and former F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella, became the first Hongkonger to reach the podium at the historic Belgian race in its 96-year history.
The finish comes after a remarkable double win at the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup in Magny Cours, France, and a podium finish at the Road to Le Mans last month. Hui and his teammates are now joint GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup leaders ahead of the final 6 Hours of Le Castellet next month.

“This has been yet another Spa classic, renowned as the toughest GT endurance race in the world, with highly unpredictable weather and every challenge you can imagine thrown into the mix,” said Hui, who previously outlined the challenges of competing during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We came well prepared to fight for the win and we nearly achieved it – a second place in the Pro-Am, and beating all the Silver Cup teams to finish inside the top 20 overall, is testament to how hard we pushed without making mistakes over 500 laps.”
