Kau Sai Chau golfers again question ‘fairness’ in futile wait for tee-time booking despite new system
- ‘All I need is a fair chance,’ says one golfer as others again resort to paying extra for booking ‘agent’
- Course highlights more ‘convenient’ booking system and again cites ‘demand far outstripping supply’ for long queues

The curious saga of the tee-time booking concierge service and so-called ‘agents’ has resurfaced at the Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public golf course.
The Post had learned of an “open secret” that certain golfers were able to bypass the booking lines and arrange significantly earlier and more frequent times via the service. Sources filed complaints with course management over what is slated as an equal platform for all members of the public.
Kau Sai Chau general manager Cameron Halliday previously urged for “patience and understanding” given that Hong Kong’s tightened borders amid the Covid-19 pandemic had created a bottleneck in bookings as local golfers who were not members of the city’s private clubs and those who were unable to travel across the mainland border would surge to the public course.
