Tokyo Paralympics: Hong Kong archer Ngai Ka-chuen finishes 30th in Games debut
- The 49-year-old betters his two 33rd place finishes at the World Championships with 667 in Tokyo
- Takes on Iraq’s Sulaiman Sulaiman in Saturday’s head-to-head showdown at the Yumenoshima Ranking Field

Hong Kong archer Ngai Ka-chuen marked his Paralympic Games debut with a 30th-place finish in the men’s individual compound open.
Ngai scored 667 points from his 72 arrows to finish 38 points off China’s He Zihao in top spot.
The Chinese No 1 set a new Paralympic record at Tokyo’s Yumenoshima Ranking Field, beating the old mark of 687 points set by Turkey’s Bulent Korkmaz in Rio de Janeiro five years ago.

It was also just two points off Alberto Simonelli’s world record set in Dubai in April, 2019.
Ngai hit 37 10s and 13 Xs during his debut Paralympics, which marked an improvement on his two career finishes in the World Championships.

At his worlds debut in 2017, Ngai finished 33rd in Beijing, before replicating that result in the Netherlands two years later.
