- No road races since January 2020 but organisers expect approval from authorities soon after agreeing to measures
- Hong Kong team members may join after staying in the city for training after China National Games

The Hong Kong Cycling Association plans to restart road race competitions next month after agreeing to a number of the government’s health measures to control the Covid-19 pandemic.
Association chairman Leung Hung-tak said they were expecting the go-ahead greenlight from the government soon as they had been working closely with a number of departments.
The coming events are expected to take place in Bride’s Pool Road in Tai Po in December which will be followed by another one in Tin Shui Wai in January.
“It has been a long time since we last staged a road race event and with the pandemic easing in recent time, we think its time to bring back road race competition, which is always popular among local riders,” said the cycling chief.

“Also, we have reached agreement with the district authorities that we can use the roads once a year and we don’t want to waste the opportunity.
