Jonathan Haggerty will fight Fabricio Andrade for the vacant ONE Championship kickboxing title, with both men having a chance to become a two-sport champion
“The General” will take on Brazil’s “Wonder Boy” on October 7 at ONE Fight Night 15 in Bangkok at the Thai capital’s famed Lumpinee Stadium, a source told the Post on Tuesday.
Singapore-based martial arts promotion ONE confirmed the fight on Wednesday.
“We’re about to make history again,” Haggerty, who stunned Nong-O Hama with a first round TKO to win the bantamweight Muay Thai title in February, wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday confirming he had signed his bout agreement.

“Thank you ONE Championship and Chatri [Sityodtong, ONE chairman and CEO] for believing in me and giving me such opportunities.”
“He thinks he’s making history. He’s going to get knocked out,” Andrade wrote after the Post broke the news of the fight.
