ONE Championship: Superbon insists his longevity, success are rooted in discipline over sacrifice
Thai star’s ultimate goal remains the Muay Thai belt, but he would be reluctant to fight his compatriot Shadow for the title

Superbon is arguably one of the greatest featherweight kickboxers of all time, a fighter whose career has been defined not by fleeting brilliance but by an unwavering commitment to elite standards.
At 35, the Thai star continues to compete – and win – at the very top of the sport, reaffirming his status as a modern great with a commanding five-round victory over Masaaki Noiri in Tokyo to defend his ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.
A product of Thailand’s famed Banchamek Gym and a protege of legendary Buakaw Banchamek, Superbon has long been associated with technical excellence and discipline.
Against Noiri, he delivered a performance that was measured, intelligent and ruthlessly efficient, controlling distance and tempo rather than chasing reckless finishes.
“Everything was good and I did a good job last time,” Superbon told the Post. “I enjoyed Japan.”

While fans marvelled at his body kicks and constant high-kick threat, Superbon explained that Noiri’s defensive awareness made clean head kicks difficult to land.
