Xu Xiaodong’s friend and fellow Chinese MMA fighter knocks out Bruce Lee wannabe in 12 seconds

Xu Xiaodong’s friend Xuan Wu followed in the footsteps of his fellow Chinese MMA fighter by knocking out a “fake” kung fu master in 12 seconds – and this one was a Bruce Lee wannabe dressed in full yellow jumpsuit.
The fight took place in a boxing ring in the middle of a Chinese shopping centre called the Xixia Wanda Plaza on August 3 in Yinchuan autonomous region west of Beijing.
The fake Bruce Lee, real name Tan Long, was representing Chinese wing chun and had challenged Xuan Wu – a fighter name which translates to “Black Tortoise” – to the fight in a trash-talking video on social media, saying he would put up 1 million yuan.

Tan was dressed in the yellow jumpsuit in homage to Hong Kong martial arts legend Lee, who wore the iconic outfit in the film Game of Death, and even had a similar haircut.
He also decided against wearing any gloves – because gloves supposedly interfere with his fighting style.
Tan threw a half-hearted flying jump kick at the start of the fight before running away. Xuan Wu quickly cornered Tan against the ropes and threw a right high kick to stun our kung fu master, followed by a left high kick to the head which sent Tan to the canvas and ended proceedings.
Xuan Wu celebrated wildly, performing a standing backflip in the ring, all while Tan continued to lie flat on his back on the ground.
At Xuan’s last fight, the outspoken “Mad Dog” Xu had watched from ringside as he beat another supposed wing chun master, Li Feng, at another shopping mall in April.
In that fight, which was bare knuckle with only wraps, Wu used just his left arm and left leg to easily beat the third generation student of Ip Man.

“Unless you are Bruce Lee or Uma Thurman the yellow suit doesn’t add much,” one user commented on a video of the fight posted by Fight Commentary Breakdowns on YouTube.
“That went the way everyone expected,” said another, while other comments included “Exit the Dragon” and “Whoever said the suit makes the man?”
“What’s ironic is that Game Of Death, which featured the yellow track suit, had Lee using his less fancy techniques compared to his previous movies in an attempt to show a practical fight choreography,” observed one commenter.
