One Championship signs popular YouTuber ‘MMAShredded’ – AKA Jeff Chan – to fight contract

One Championship has signed Jeff Chan – the popular YouTuber known as “MMAShredded” – to a fight contract.
Canadian Chan has over 130,000 subscribers on YouTube, more than 350,000 followers on Facebook and nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram. He posts informative content breaking down tactics and techniques as well as showing professional fighters’ signature moves and how to use them in sparring.
“I have always been very vocal about my plans with you guys, which is focusing on creating accessible martial arts content for everyone,” he wrote on his social media accounts. “Helping others is what motivates me and I am extremely passionate about what I do.
“I have mentioned several times that I have no immediate plans to continue fighting, but when @onechampionship reaches out to you, it’s one of those rare opportunities in life that you can’t simply turn down.”
Fighting at featherweight, Chan has a 3-1 record in MMA with two knockout wins, and one submission loss. He last fought for Ontario-based BTC Fight Promotions in November 2018, earning a unanimous decision victory against Marc Gillespie in the company’s fight of the year.
Chan revealed he will move to superstar team Tristar in Montreal, Canada to continue training with head trainer Firas Zahabi, the famed MMA and grappling coach whom he has sparred with in several of his videos.
