The UFC is set to host its biggest China show on August 31 in Shenzhen, as Zhang Weili takes on Jessica Andrade for the strawweight title.
Zhang will bid to become China’s first UFC champion in the main event at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre.
There are 12 fights in all across the preliminary card and the main card on Saturday.
Here’s all the information you need to know:




What time is the show?
The prelims will get under way on Saturday, August 31 at 3pm local time (12am Pacific time, 3am Eastern, 7am GMT). The main card begins at 6pm local time (3am Pacific time, 6am Eastern, 10am GMT). Doors open at 1pm.

How can I buy tickets?
Hong Kong-based fans across the border can visit Ticketflap.com with tickets ranging in price from HK$320 to HK$14,680.
Chinese online ticketing service Damai is also providing tickets from 280 yuan to 12,880 yuan.

How can I watch?
The main card will air on the ESPN+ streaming service (US only) and UFC Fight Pass.
Fox Sports Asia will broadcast the main card (6pm) in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar, Mongolia, Malaysia, Macau, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei.

When are the weigh-ins?
The ceremonial weigh-ins take place on Friday, August 30, at 7pm local time at the Grand Ballroom in the Futian Shangri-La. Doors open at 6pm to media and fans, with a guest athletes Q&A at 6.15pm.

When are the open workouts?
Fans are free to attend at Upper Hills, Level M (outside UA cinema) from 6.30pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 28. Workouts will feature Jessica Andrade, Zhang Weili, Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, Li Jingliang, Wu Yanan and Song Kenan.

Women’s strawweight title, main event: Jessica Andrade (record 20-6-0, odds 1.62) vs Zhang Weili (19-1-0, 2.56)
Welterweight, co-main event: Li Jingliang (16-5-0, 3.4) vs Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos (21-5-0, 1.36)

UFC Performance Institute Shanghai: take a look inside the world’s largest MMA training facility

There will be plenty of Octagons to go around for the UFC athletes in Shanghai at the Performance Institute.

Athletes and visitors alike will be greeted with this sight in the main hallway, with Kelvin Gastelum's knockout win against Michael Bisping at UFC FIght Night 122 in Shanghai immortalised on the wall.

Go through the main entrance and you're eventually greeted with this beautiful sight.

There are treadmills and rowing machines galore.

We're not sure what a Hypoxic Lab is, but the Shanghai Performance Institute has one.

Or why not try a spot of cryotherapy?

The facility also houses sports science and physical therapy staff for the best in recovery and treatment.

Any aches or pains can be assessed on site.
