UFC president Dana White has said BJ Penn will not fight again in the UFC after his drunken street brawls in Hawaii.

Penn has been filmed scrapping in two bar fights in the past two months, getting knocked out by a shirtless antagoniser in the most recent incident – before finding the man later in the night and raining punches down on his head.
The UFC Hall of Famer – who is without a win since 2010 in eight bouts – was set to fight Nik Lentz in what was going to be his final bout in the Octagon.

“He won’t fight again, that’s it,” White told ESPN in Abu Dhabi ahead of UFC 242.

“That’s a wrap. It’s not even that this was the last straw. I didn’t love him continuing to fight anyway, but when you have the relationship he and I have – he gets me on the phone, begging me for another fight, for another opportunity – it’s hard for me to turn him down.

“After what I saw in that video, BJ needs to, you know, he needs to focus on his personal life and get himself together before he thinks about fighting.”
