UFC President Dana White has said he does not see Nate Diaz in the “big picture” of the UFC’s plans.
White had admitted Diaz was now a “needle mover” after the Stockton native returned from a three-year lay-off to get an impressive unanimous decision against Anthony Pettis last month at UFC 241.
Diaz called out “gangster” Jorge Masvidal in his post-fight interview, with White expressing interest in putting on a bout between the two at welterweight. But it seems no progress has been made on that front.

“Nate Diaz has fought once in the last three years,” White told ESPN in Abu Dhabi. “When I think about the big picture stuff, I don’t even think about Nate.”
Though he did not name White, UFC commentator Joe Rogan said after the fight that some people in the UFC still do not realise how big of a star Diaz really is.

“Nate is one of those weird situations where we might not hear from the kid for another three years,” White added.
