If you thought that the winner of Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal at Madison Square Garden would get to defend their special “baddest m***********” title belt, then Dana White has some bad news for you.

“No it’s a one and done,” White told the UFC 242 post-event press conference in Abu Dhabi. “Whoever wins the fight wins the belt and claims the title of ‘BMF’.”

The November 2 bout – which will be a five-round main event at UFC 244 – was made in a surprise announcement on Saturday morning in the United Arab Emirates.

Diaz had called out “gangster” Masvidal three weeks ago, after returning from a three-year lay-off to beat Anthony Pettis.

“Yeah, it’s true, this fight is one that took on a life of its own,” White added.
