Conor McGregor tells Dustin Poirier ‘I’ll think about’ UFC rematch after social media call-out

After the heartbreak of his third-round submission defeat by Khabib Nurmagomedov in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, an emotional Dustin Poirier had suggested he could retire.

But having had a couple of days to reflect on coming up short, it seems the 30-year-old former interim lightweight champion has realised there are still some big fights out there for him.

“The Diamond” put any questions over his fighting future to bed on Tuesday, calling out Conor McGregor on Twitter.

“I think me and Conor running it back makes a lot of sense at this point,” he tweeted.

That didn’t sit too well with “The Notorious”, of course.

“I fed you to the canvas in 90 seconds bro,” McGregor tweeted. “You should have spoke my name with a bit more respect in that build up.
