Conor McGregor hinted he wanted to fight in Dublin on December 14. If he does, it will not be in a UFC Octagon.

In a Q&A with fans on social media, UFC president Dana White shot down any notion of the Irishman fighting in his home city.

Instead, White gave an indication of when he expected the former featherweight and lightweight champion to be back in action.

“I’m sure you saw his tweet. Conor wants to fight on December 14 in Dublin, but we have a fight in Vegas,” White said, after a fan asked when “The Notorious” was going to fight again.

“So if he doesn’t fight on that card, he will fight early next year,” White added.
