UFC: Dana White says Canelo-Kovalev ‘nuts’ to go head to head with Masvidal-Diaz ‘BMF’ bout

Dana White said he was shocked to learn that DAZN have scheduled Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev’s bout for the same night as UFC 244.

The UFC had already announced earlier this month that Jorge Masvidal will fight Nate Diaz for the “BMF” belt on November 2 at Madison Square Garden.

The highly anticipated match-up did not put off streaming service DAZN from going head-to-head with the UFC.

“So we started talking about this date, and then a week later I heard they’re gonna do that fight,” White said at Thursday night’s UFC 244 press conference in New York.

“I think they’re crazy to go the same night as us on DAZN, but it is what it is,” he added.
