Nate Diaz has blasted critics of the UFC’s controversial “BMF” title belt, in typical Nate Diaz style.

The Stockton, California native will take on Jorge Masvidal for the honour of being crowned the “baddest [expletive] in the game” at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden.

The fight “took on a life of its own”, Dana White said, when Diaz called out Masvidal in the Octagon after beating Anthony Pettis last month.

“It’s already a staple, and that we’re fighting for the best [expletive] in the fight game. There’s a belt for it,” Diaz told TMZ Sports after Thursday’s press conference in New York.

“I called it against one of the bad [expletive] and everyone felt it, and we’re like, ‘This is what it is. These are the best guys in the game. We’re going to watch it’.”
