A video of the hotel scuffle between UFC Mexico opponents Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez has emerged on social media, showing both fighters shouting anti-gay slurs at each other.

Their main event at Fight Night 159 was ruled a no contest when the Mexican accidentally poked the American in the eye just 15 seconds into the contest.

The ringside doctor and referee Herb Dean ruled that Stephens could not continue, with fans at the Mexico City Arena turning on “Lil’ Heathen” and pelting him with beer, popcorn and loose change as security rushed him backstage.

Rodriguez and his entourage then approached Stephens in the lobby of the JW Marriott Hotel the next day and things quickly escalated.

The 33-year-old Stephens can be heard suggesting to “El Pantera” that they “run it back”. But Rodriguez then implied Stephens was faking his injury, despite UFC doctors later handing him a 180-day medical suspension, unless he is cleared by an ophthalmologist for a corneal abrasion.
