Jorge Masvidal says UFC ‘protected’ Israel Adesanya by keeping Yoel Romero away from him

Jorge Masvidal has claimed the UFC “protected” Israel Adesanya by keeping Yoel Romero away from him.

“Stylebender” became the undisputed middleweight champion by knocking out Robert Whittaker in two rounds at UFC 243 on Sunday.

It was Whittaker’s first fight since back-to-back five-round wins over “Soldier of God” Romero – and “Gamebred” thinks those wars changed “The Reaper”.

“I told everyone that no one is the same after fighting Yoel Romero,” Masvidal wrote in a tweet, which he later deleted.

“You guys will see. UFC [was] smart for protecting Israel. Yoel wins one and should be next. Should’ve been the one from the get.”
