UFC: Colby Covington threatens to slap Dana White in face with title belt after Kamaru Usman fight
- Former interim champion tells UFC president not to try wrapping title belt around his waist at UFC 245
- ‘He needs to get his brain checked for CTE if he’s making up lies’

Colby Covington has warned UFC president Dana White from trying to put the welterweight title around his waist at UFC 245 if he beats Kamaru Usman.
White has passed on the duties for November 2’s UFC 244 main event at Madison Square Garden between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who will award the “BMF” belt to the winner.
And former interim welterweight champion Covington has suggested White find someone else to do the same in Las Vegas on December 14.
“I can tell you who’s not wrapping it around my waist, and that will not be Dana White,” Covington told Submission Radio. “If he tries to wrap it around my waist, I’m gonna take the belt from him and slap him in the face with it.”
Covington and Usman were originally earmarked for the main event slot in New York, but White switched plans to Diaz and Masvidal after negotiations fell through.
