UFC: Dustin Poirier slams ‘fake gangster’ Nate Diaz, and gets a verbal barrage back from Nick Diaz

  • ‘Talking about steroids … you pulled out of my fight too,’ says ‘The Diamond’
  • Nate’s brother Nick Diaz wades into the fray, with expletive-laden response

Nate Diaz’s Usada drama has got everybody in the MMA world talking, including Dustin Poirier – who decided to take a shot at the Stockton native.

The UFC 244 main event between Diaz and Jorge Masvidal was thrown into doubt on Thursday when Diaz revealed he had tested positive for “tainted supplements”.
UFC president Dana White said “the fight is on” for the “BMF” title at Madison Square Garden on November 2 after Usada cleared Diaz of any anti-doping violation, though.

Diaz has only just returned from a three-year lay-off, beating Anthony Pettis in August. But of course, he was originally set to fight Poirier at the famous New York venue last November before that one fell through.

It seems there’s still a bit of animosity between them stemming from whatever happened.

Fresh from undergoing surgery, “The Diamond” posted a picture of himself in his hospital bed, calling himself the real BMF and adding “f*** Nate Diaz”.

Poirier continued his social media jabs, replying with the same crude message to Diaz’s tweet containing his statement about the Usada test.

“Talking all that s*** about steroids … f*** you Nate,” he added in a video posted from his hospital bed. “You pulled out of my fight too. You’re a b****. Fake a** gangster.”

This didn’t sit too well with Nate’s older brother Nick Diaz, who slammed Poirier with a few, shall we say, crude sentiments similar to those used by Poirier – who responded in kind with a call-out.

“I want all the smoke!! I’ll fight Nick at 170 too let’s go,” he tweeted.
