Stephen Thompson got back in the win column at UFC 244 on Saturday – then immediately set his sights on running it back with Jorge Masvidal.

“Wonderboy” (15-4-1) got a unanimous decision win against rising welterweight star Vicente Luque (17-7-1) at Madison Square Garden, where Masvidal beat Nate Diaz in the main event.

The doctor stopped the fight before the fourth round, with Diaz sporting a badly cut eyebrow. But Thompson thought Masvidal was clearly winning.

“He looked better than ever for sure, definitely better than when I fought him,” Thompson said. “That head kick in the first round was sick, I gotta give him props because I love to kick people in the head.

“Nate Diaz didn’t have an answer, he tried to come back with some stuff but Masvidal crushed him in the first round. He wanted out of there.
