Sage Northcutt has finally hit back at Dana White after the UFC president claimed he should consider retiring from MMA.

White told TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter in June “this isn’t the sport for him” after the former UFC star’s brutal knockout at the hands of Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre on his One Championship debut.

“For him to say something like that, after that injury, I don’t understand the exact logic of why he would say something like that,” Northcutt told MMAFighting.com, in his first interview since his loss.

“Before, he was wishing me to do great in everything I happened to do in the future, and [to] say something like that is totally different.”

Northcutt needed a nine-hour operation on eight facial fractures after a 29-second, one-punch KO by kick-boxing veteran Alexandre in Singapore in May.
