Khabib Nurmagomedov has signed a deal to fight Tony Ferguson in Brooklyn in April, with the UFC now waiting on “El Cucuy” to agree to the highly-anticipated bout.
Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz said the ball is in No 1-ranked Ferguson’s court to face the light heavyweight champion, a match-up that has fallen apart on four occasions in the past.
“Here we go. The champ signed his bout agreement against Tony Ferguson,” Abdelaziz, who shared a picture of Khabib’s signed fight agreement on Twitter, said. “This man has been asking for this ass whooping and now he has earned it.
“April 18 the eagle will land in Brooklyn one more time. This one is for the fans.”

The news of the match-up was first reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamato on Monday night. Okamato added that live betting off of -240 for Khabib and +190 for Ferguson were about to go live, per John Murray from oddsmakers SuperBookUSA.
