Conor McGregor late for UFC 246 weigh-ins (but he has a good reason this time)
- Irishman and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone both tip the scales at 170 pounds
- McGregor says sorry for tardiness – ‘it’s hard work getting the kids ready’

It’s no secret Conor McGregor has been putting on a charm offensive for UFC 246 fight week.
There’s been no trash talking of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, ahead of Saturday night’s main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The notoriously tardy Irishman has even been on time for media and promotional duties. Except for Friday night’s ceremonial weigh-ins – except this time he had a real excuse, it seemed.
“I apologise I’m a little late,” McGregor told Joe Rogan on stage at Park Theatre, after weighing in at 170 pounds. “It’s hard work getting the kids ready and bringing them to the event. So thank you all for your patience.”
McGregor is staying with his partner Dee Devlin and their two children, Conor Jnr, aged two, and one-year-old daughter Croia, in their Las Vegas home.
So perhaps a legitimate excuse this time, as opposed to several of his previous fights when he would purposefully arrive late for press conferences to annoy his opponents.
