Logan Paul wants MMA meeting with Bellator boss Scott Coker, willing to fight for ‘multi, multi, multimillions’ of dollars
- Logan Paul says he is focusing on YouTube but did not rule out a future transition into MMA – ‘it would be with Dazn and Bellator’
- Paul interested in fellow YouTuber JMX as well as former NFL star Antonio Brown
YouTube star Logan Paul is willing to put his lucrative vlogging and music ventures on hold to fight in Bellator – but only if the MMA promotion’s president Scott Coker offers the right price.
“It would be [with Bellator and sports streaming service Dazn]. We love you Scott – let’s get that meeting up, Scott,” Paul told sports journalist Donagh Corby ahead of brother Jake Paul’s Dazn boxing bout against fellow Youtuber Anesongib. Jake Paul won via first-round knockout.
“I don’t want to say anyone’s name yet ... but if the bag is right it’s worth it for me [I would do it],” Logan Paul said, adding that he would consider fighting YouTuber JMX in his debut. “If I choose to devote three to six months of my life to do MMA – that’s it I’m locked in and focused – I’m losing a lot.
“I’m gonna put it bluntly, Dazn. I need a fat [expletive] cheque. Multi, multi, multimillions. Or I’m willing, if there’s an opponent equally or better than JMX or [the fighter] makes sense and can bring as many viewers in as myself, then I’d be excited about that, too.”
Paul was part of the early wave of YouTube-to-boxing crossover bouts increasingly seen of late. He boxed British YouTuber KSI twice – the first a draw, the rematch a split-decision loss in November last year – before his calls for a trilogy were shut down. He had also mentioned a potential transition to MMA at some point in his packed career.
