As if the UFC 247 Texas judging issue could not get any more controversial, there appears to be a “mistake” on headliners Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes’ official scorecard.

Light-heavyweight champion Jones successfully defended his belt against Reyes by unanimous decision on Sunday – 48-47, 48-47, 49-46 – but the likes of UFC president Dana White and commentator Joe Rogan were left perplexed at the judges’ scoring.
Both White and Rogan took specific issue with the “insane” 49-46 score concluded by Joe Soliz. ESPN’s Marc Raimondi added fuel to the fire after posting a photo of the scorecard showing the relevant Texas commission originally calling the fight a “majority draw”.

While it is unclear why it was mistakenly marked as a draw on paper, it was ultimately Jones who had his hand raised in the cage.

Earlier in the event, Rogan and fellow UFC analyst Dominick Cruz called out one of the judges – who remains unnamed – for “literally not watching the fight” of an undercard between flyweights Lauren Murphy and Andrea Lee.
