UFC: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson will happen ‘whatever it takes’ promises Dana White
- UFC president insists highly-anticipated UFC 249 main event will go ahead
- ‘It’s probably not even gonna be in the United States,’ says White
Dana White has promised that the highly-anticipated UFC 249 main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson will go ahead “whatever it takes”.
The UFC president confirmed in an interview with ESPN that the company’s next three Fight Night events in Columbus, London and Portland will be postponed.
But White insisted the UFC 249 main event will still happen – though he admitted there are plenty of logistical hurdles still to navigate.
“So we’re postponing the next three events, but Tony Ferguson vs Khabib, April 18, is still on and that will still happen,” he told SportsCenter.
“We’re gonna follow these guidelines to not have more than 10 people in a room and were hoping this all clears up by April and this fight’s gonna happen.
“No crowd, whatever it takes. It’s probably not even gonna be in the United States but this fight is gonna happen.”
