ONE Championship: Bibiano Fernandes ready for Kevin Belingon, Martin Nguyen – and anybody else who might fancy a crack
- Bantamweight king Fernandes is open to a rematch with ONE featherweight champ Nguyen
- ‘The Flash’ also willing to fight ‘The Silencer’ Belingon for a fifth time if ONE makes the call

If 16 years on the other side of the metal has taught Bibiano Fernandes one thing it’s that patience is a virtue.
In action – across a 24-4 record that had taken the Brazilian to ONE Championship’s bantamweight title – “The Flash” has always been the very picture of stealth, biding his time, looking for openings and to finish matters off with a minimum of fuss.
During this enforced time on the sidelines, Fernandes has been going about life in much the same manner, as he takes care of his family, trains when he can, and waits for his next opportunity to arise once ONE gets the all-clear to return to action.
“The best thing you can do is look after family and friends,” Fernandes says. “It can make you realise how lucky you are. We have to wait it out but martial artists are patient people and the best thing we can do is see how we can help other people.”
Fernandes has also been spending time daily checking up on the welfare of family and friends back in his native Brazil, more than 10,000 kilometres away from his home in Vancouver.
