In case you wanted an idea of just what kind of testing procedures the fighters on the UFC 249 card will be put through, Tony Ferguson has got your back.

The UFC is implementing strict Covid-19 testing procedures for all fighters, camps, judges, production crew – you name it – as it looks to deliver on its promise of safely hosting events, starting with May 9’s behind-closed-doors show at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

“I went through the testing process today,” Ferguson said on a UFC 249 conference call with media and his opponent, Justin Gaethje. “I was going to my trainers, ‘I’m f****** scared s***less.”

“We went in there and we handled s*** like a business,” he added, laughing. “The testing was interesting, I’ll be real. I’m gonna post up a video later today. Justin, I don’t know if you went through this s*** already, but it’ll tickle your brain, bro.”

Gaethje confirmed he would be getting tested on Wednesday – he was to arrive in Jacksonville a day later than Ferguson.

But in case he didn’t know what he was in for, Ferguson gave Gaethje, and everyone else, a vivid visual explainer on his Instagram account.
