- White says the UFC is looking at June as the start date for hosting events on the island

The details surrounding the location of “Fight Island” might remain a mystery. But we do know one ting: Dana White is going to live there for a month.
The UFC president gave an update on the status of the project, which has been created to host fight cards for international-based fighters who can’t enter the US during the coronavirus pandemic.
Having previously said the Octagon will be on the beach, with hotels and training facilities being built for fighters, White has given away a few more titbits.
“People are very intrigued by ‘Fight Island,’ and I’m excited for it,” White said in an appearance on ESPN, the UFC’s broadcast partner. “Right now we’re looking at June, and we’re literally gonna knock out three or four [events] there in a month.
“And I’m gonna stay on the island for a month. I’ll probably be there the whole month of July.”
