UFC: Mike Perry invites Yoel Romero to train him for Darren Till – ‘if I see him in person, I’m gonna fight him’
- ‘Platinum’ Perry says he wants to ‘feel that 185 [pound] weight class’ by training with Romero in South Florida
- Perry continues rift by trolling Till, threatens to ‘grab him and stick a finger in his eye’

Rumours of a fight between friends-turned-enemies Mike Perry and Darren Till moved up a gear after welterweight Perry appeared to size up a move to the 185-pound middleweight division.
While Perry won the fight with just his girlfriend in his corner as opposed to the more commonly seen team of coaches, he accepted he would need big reinforcements to prepare for the 28-year-old Till. Cuban middleweight contender Yoel Romero is first on the list.
“I wanna go train with Yoel Romero for sure,” “Platinum” said at the post-fight press conference. “I wanna go to South Florida and train with Yoel Romero and feel that 185 weight class.

“Man, 170 is such a great place for me but I wanna fight Darren Till. If I see him in person, I’m gonna fight him. Nobody’s gonna stop me. I’m gonna grab him, stick my finger in his eye and get a hold of him. I’m saying it out loud because I don’t care.”
