UFC: Dana White laughs off Fedor claim to heavyweight GOAT – ‘no debate’ Miocic-Cormier winner is greatest
- ‘I know there’s talk about other guys. There’s no doubt … Saturday will determine who the man is,’ says White
- UFC president replies ‘come on with that [expletive]’ when it’s suggested Russian icon Fedor Emelianenko might be in the conversation

Dana White thinks there is “no debate” that Saturday night’s UFC 252 main event will determine who is the greatest heavyweight in MMA history.
Stipe Miocic (19-3) defends his belt against former champ Daniel Cormier (22-2, one no contest) at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas as they look to settle their title trilogy, with one win apiece.
Some may think former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko (36-5, one no contest) deserves the mantle of heavyweight “GOAT” (greatest of all time). Others will make their cases for Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mirko Cro Cop, Alistair Overeem, Junior dos Santos, Josh Barnett, Cain Velasquez, Randy Couture, Fabricio Werdum and Frank Mair. But White is having none of it.
“I saw some debate on if the winner of this fight would go down as the greatest heavyweight – there’s no [expletive] debate. There’s no debate,” White said at Tuesday’s Contender Series post-event press conference at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
“The winner of this fight is the greatest heavyweight ever, not of this era, ever in the UFC history and in mixed martial arts. I know there’s talk about other guys and s***, ‘you gotta look at who they fought’.
