Stamp Fairtex began 2020 as a double champion. In this most turbulent of years, the Thai superstar has now lost both of her belts in ONE Championship’s atomweight Muay Thai and kick-boxing divisions.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues stunned her fellow 22-year-old to win the ONE Super Series Muay Thai title on Friday night by majority decision in a major upset at ONE: A New Breed in Bangkok.

The Brazilian was unable to hold back the tears when her arm was raised, as Stamp stormed swiftly out of the ring and departed just as swiftly to hospital on doctor’s orders with a nose injury.

“She’s a great champion but we came to take it,” Rodrigues said in her post-fight interview in the ring at the Impact Arena. “We trained so hard, we did everything we can and we showed up today.

“Thank you so much for all the support, for all the fans. I knew I could do that and I showed it today.”
