UFC Fight Night 178 ended with Tyron Woodley screaming in pain and Colby Covington screaming out for future fights after the brash American had broken down the former champ while lifting himself back into welterweight title contention.

The headline bout at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas was officially declared a TKO to Covington (16-2) at 1.19 of the fifth on Sunday but it was over long before that, the 32-year-old having gone to work from the very first minute and Woodley (19-6-1) having come up with nothing much in particular in terms of an answer.

The words then flowed from Covington and he grabbed his moment in the spotlight, playing to type with the hype and targets of his attentions.

He touted President Donald Trump and a predicted “landslide” win over Joe Biden in the upcoming United States elections. He rounded on “woke” American athletes such as basketball star LeBron James.
