It might just be a matter of time before there are three world champions in the Lee household.

After the success of her siblings, “Unstoppable” Angela Lee (10-2) and “The Warrior” Christian Lee (13-2) in ONE Championship, 16-year-old Victoria Lee is now entering the MMA fray.

The 24-year-old atomweight queen Angela, and 22-year-old lightweight king Christian, are two of the faces of the Singapore-based Asian martial arts promotion, and now father Ken is looking to mould another champion at the family’s United MMA gym in Hawaii.

“My dad is my coach and my dad, so him being my dad, he was a little nervous because now he has three kids being professional athletes,” Victoria told SCMP MMA. “However, as my coach, I trust in him and he lets me know when I’m ready to take this next step up in competition.”

Though the Lee family is close with ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong, Victoria has not been gifted this opportunity by anyone – she enters the ONE circle with plenty of pedigree at junior level. The Canadian-American, who is of Chinese-Singaporean and Korean heritage, is coming off an impressive 2019, winning gold at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s Youth MMA Championships, a junior pankration national title in California and a junior pankration world title in Croatia.

“My plans were to become a professional fighter after I was done with school, so it only made sense that I would follow in my brother and sister’s footsteps and sign with ONE Championship,” Victoria said.
