ONE Championship: Christian Lee says sister Victoria, 16, ‘handling pressure well’; pregnant Angela Lee ‘already itching to get back in there’
- ONE’s lightweight champ puts his crown on the line against Iuri Lapicus at Inside the Matrix on Friday
- But it’s business as usual for the Lee clan, despite past month adding several new chapters to already drama-filled story.

Come Friday night, Christian Lee will put his ONE Championship lightweight title on the line against the unbeaten Iuri Lapicus at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
It’s the first official threat to the 22-year-old’s reign in the division, and comes 18 months since he upset the veteran Japanese warrior Shinya Aoki (45-9, one no contest) back in May, 2019.
Lee said it had been business as usual in the lead up to his title defence, even as the past month added several new chapters to his clan‘s already drama-filled story.
ONE atomweight champ Angela Lee (10-2) announced she has a baby on the way, with the Asian martial arts organisation swooping in to sign the precocious talent that is the 16-year-old Victoria Lee, who last year picked up a gold medal at the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation’s Youth Championships.
“It’s great for Angela,” Christian Lee (13-3) said. “She’s already done so much in such a short time. One thing I know is that she has always wanted to be a mother. She’s going to be great. Her and Bruno [Pucci] are going to be great parents so I’m just really happy for them. She’s been coming into the gym to watch and share her input here and there. It’s all spectating for her now but she’s already itching to get back in there and fight.”
Victoria Lee has been travelling with her family to ONE events over the past few years, as father Ken guides the careers of Christian and Angela. And her elder brother says her experience seeing first-hand the ups and downs, and the demands, of being a pro fighter will stand her in good stead in the years ahead.
