It seemed like everything went to plan – and then some – for Victoria Lee on her ONE Championship debut.

The 16-year-old sister of ONE world champions Angela and Christian Lee tapped out Sunisa Srisen in their atomweight bout with a second-round rear-naked choke to open up the Asian martial arts promotion’s Fists of Fury card in Singapore on February 26.

But “The Prodigy” thinks she could’ve gone about her business in the Circle even more impressively were it not for a bout of food poisoning on fight day.

“I do think that I could’ve had an even better performance, but you never really go into a fight 100 per cent,” Lee told SCMP MMA after returning to her family’s home in Hawaii last week.

“Earlier that morning I was feeling pretty sick because I guess I had some bad toast, or something. But yeah, I was not feeling 100 per cent. But I was able to block it out throughout the fight, and I don’t think it affected me too much.”
