Angela Hill showed total aggression from start to finish as she racked up a dominant unanimous decision win over Ashley Yoder in the featured prelim bout at UFC Vegas 21.

“Overkill” (13-9) earned scorecards of 30-27 from all three judges for the strawweight bout at the UFC’s Apex facility on Saturday night, putting on a high pace and output, and punishing “Spider Monkey” (8-7) in the Thai clinch.

“It feels really good, I felt like I was dominant,” Hill told Daniel Cormier in her post-fight interview. “There’s no question in anyone’s eyes who the winner was.

“That’s how I’m gonna fight going forward. With a full camp I was able to go a little harder in the first two rounds – on short notice you’re always worried about emptying the tank and having nothing left.”

Covid-19 had wrecked Hill’s last two fights weeks, with bouts against Tecia Torres and Yoder cancelled – but fortunately, this one was put back only a week, after a member of Yoder’s corner tested positive before UFC 259.

Hill’s experience showed from the start, the 36-year-old American making her 17th walk to the Octagon as the busiest fighter in the division, but she didn’t get the finish she was hunting as she looks to fight for the title in 2021.
